He is a Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and served as its Vice President for the Southern Region from 2015 to 2022.He has authored more than 450 scientific articles published in international peer-reviewed journals, with extensive citations on Google Scholar, and has supervised more than one hundred fifth PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. Over a career spanning more than three decades of collaboration with the pharmaceutical industry, he has contributed to the development of innovative healthcare products, resulting in 26 patents (filed and granted) and four commercialized products.Since 2014, Professor Calixto has served as President and CEO of the Center for Innovation and Preclinical Studies (CIEnP), a leading Brazilian center dedicated to translational research and preclinical drug development. She has made significant contributions to the development and standardization of herbal formulations, phytochemical analysis, and nano-enabled phytotherapeutics.Dr. Nandhini has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications in reputed national and international journals. Her recent scholarly work, \"Phytoconstituent Based Formulations and Phenolic Compounds in Acne Management: A Comprehensive Review of Traditional Remedies, Modern Strategies, and Therapeutic Innovations,\" provides an in-depth evaluation of plant-derived bioactive compounds and highlighting the integration of traditional herbal remedies with contemporary pharmaceutical approaches for acne therapy. Her research also spans nanoparticle synthesis, herbal wound healing, Parkinson's disease therapeutics, and advanced phytopharmaceutical technologies.In addition to her research contributions, Dr. Nandhini serves as a reviewer, academic mentor, and organizer of scientific workshops and conferences. She holds patent publications in hydrocolloid biofilms, nanoemulsion-based transdermal drug delivery systems, and analytical methods for herbal marker compounds, and is the Principal Investigator of a funded research project investigating antioxidant supplements using HPLC-based evaluation in head and neck squamous carcinoma cell lines. This study is a novel application of the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models for streamflow simulation in the Abelti Watershed, Omo-Gibe Basin,<br \/>\nEthiopia. It also compares the performance of the LSTM model with the physically based Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model. The analysis covered the period 1992\u20132021, with monthly streamflow data from 1992 to 1994 used for warm-up period, from 1995\u20132015 used for LSTM training and SWAT calibration, and data from 2016\u20132021 used for testing and validation.<br \/>\nThe LSTM model was optimized through systematic hyper-parameter tuning and window size adjustment. The LSTM model attained R\u00b2, RMSE, MAE, NSE, and PBIAS values of 0.996, 0.13, 0.072, 0.94 and 0.33 during training, and 0.991, 0.14, 0.09, 0.97 and 0.58 during testing, respectively. The SWAT model achieved R\u00b2, NSE, and PBIAS values of 0.79, 0.75, and 0.54 during calibration, and 0.79, 0.77, and 0.23 during validation, respectively. The results demonstrate that the LSTM model outperformed the SWAT model in streamflow prediction<br \/>\naccuracy and goodness-of-fit, reflecting its stronger ability to capture complex nonlinear rainfall\u2013runoff relationships. While both models exhibited low bias, SWAT showed slightly lower PBIAS during validation. He has been associated with CAU since 2018 and is actively engaged in teaching, research, extension and community-oriented agricultural development. Dr. Singh obtained his <strong>Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati<\/strong>, with his academic and research background spanning bioenergy, biotechnology and sustainable utilization of biological resources. His research interests include\u00a0<strong>post-harvest technology, nanotechnology, bioactive molecules, bioenergy, biomaterials, bioremediation, ethnomedicine and value addition of horticultural crops<\/strong>. His scholarly work includes research on nanomaterials, bioactive compounds and post-harvest applications in horticultural crops. He has contributed extensively to <strong>research and development projects focused on reducing post-harvest losses, developing nano-based technologies, value addition of agricultural and horticultural crops, and improving livelihood opportunities for rural and tribal communities<\/strong> of Northeast India. He has also been actively involved in organizing training programmes, experiential learning activities, entrepreneurship development and community-based interventions. His professional profile records more than 30 training programmes and significant involvement in funded research projects.Dr. Singh has authored and co-authored numerous research papers, book chapters and books and has contributed to multidisciplinary research connecting\u00a0<strong>agriculture, biotechnology, nanotechnology, food science and sustainable rural development<\/strong>.
